U. S. Post Office

The Emory post office has served the community for 150 years. Early postmasters C.B. Akers and Ben Campbell ran the postal service from the Emory Mercantile and Addison’s, respectively, until the current building was constructed in 1962. In its older days, residents could be seen sitting on the porch at Addison’s, catching up on the local news while waiting for the train to deliver the mail. Harriet Rasnick is currently Emory’s postmaster.
