Emory & Henry College is a private, liberal arts institution with approximately 900 students and is located in southwestern Virginia. As a member of NCAA Division III and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), the College sponsors 13 sports for men and women. Summary:

The Defensive Coordinator/Assistant Football Coach will work in coordination with the Head Football Coach in the planning, development and oversight of the defensive system. The duties will include practice organization, game-plan development, overseeing defensive coaches, recruiting and assisting with the overall execution of the football program. This individual will be responsible for compliance with all of the college policies regarding academic standing and rules of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference as well as NCAA III. Also will be responsible for providing supervision and mentoring of student athletes. Teaching and/or other administrative duties may be assigned by the Athletic Director or Head Football Coach. Position is full time and a 10 month appointment.

Qualifications:

Prior successful coaching experience required. Master's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree required. Successful recruiting experience at the college level is a must. Candidates will be required to undergo a background check.
