Specifically, he has investigated the national parks in the American Southwest to show determine correlations between each park's size and the money necessary to keep it functioning. He currently works for the NPS and plans to pursue a career with the NPS.

Last spring, Taylor and fellow classmate, Amy Wilson, completed a research project involving gender stereotypes and careers. Although the research did not bear significant findings, Taylor plans to expand her sample group and explore a wider range of demographics.

Katie Beth Bordwine has been named Virginias Collegiate Honors Council's Honors Scholar of the Year. As part of the recognition, she will receive a $500 scholarship, lodging and registration at the VCHC Spring Meeting on April 10 and 11 in Richmond, Va., where she will speak to her peers on the topic of being a part of an honors community and what it means to her.
