Degrees: Ed.D., Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University; B.S., and M.Ed., Virginia State University.
Before coming to Emory and Henry, Dr. Jones worked as a professor at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Richmond, Virginia, and as a high school teacher in Baltimore, Maryland. The author of a college textbook, Structured Programming Logic, he has completed additional study at East Tennessee State University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Morgan State University, University of Memphis, Purdue University, and Indiana University. At EHC, he coordinates computer literacy and the administration of the TekXam.
A Glade Spring native, member of a fourth-generation Glade Spring family, and a member of the Glade Spring Town Council, Jones is a church organist and pianist and has been a guest speaker on local African-American history.
