Three-Dimensional Art

Three-dimensional art builds upon additive and subtractive processes in a variety of media with an emphasis on student expression. Ceramics explores methods of hand-building and includes an introduction to wheel-throwing processes involved in producing pottery. Students acquire working knowledge of firing, glazing and throwing techniques. Students in sculpture explore asemblage, woodworking, welding, and basic casting. Craft students are engaged in basic weaving, paper making, book binding, batik and basketry.
