Academic Support

Along with the Quantitative Literacy Center and the College's Writing Center, Emory & Henry's Academic Support Services maintains peer tutors for every academic program. Support Programs also include workshops, which are open to all students and are designed to help students improve their study skills, test taking skill, time management, or to improve motivation, organization and independence. There are also special topics on reducing test anxiety, stress management, learning styles and much more.

Academic Support Services

The Academic Support Services Office is located in the Paul Adrian Powell III Resource Center, along with the offices of Counseling Services and Career Services. Academic support is available to all Emory & Henry students at no charge.

Quantitative Learning Center

The QL Center is open to all Emory & Henry students who wish to develop their mathematical and statistical skills. The QL Center is located in Wiley Hall and helps students with adjusting to college-level mathematics; test preparation and provides practice testing for the GRE, LSAT, and PRAXIS tests.

Writing Center

The Writing Center includes a writing laboratory with resources for writers in McGlothlin-Street Hall, Room 233. This facility is available after 5 p.m. each weekday and between scheduled classes during the day. Here, students may write without distraction and, depending on what time it is, call on tutors to assist as needed.
