The office of Academic Support Services creates accommodation plans for students with disabilities. Students with documented disabilities are encouraged to register with Academic Support Services as soon as they are accepted to the College.
Individualized Assistance & Skills Counseling
The director of Academic Support Services is available to work with all students individually on a variety of academic issues. Common topics for students who seek academic assistance include but are not limited to: time management, overcoming test anxiety, and improving skills in studying or test taking. Students may also ask for individualized assistance with any of the following workshop titles.
Workshops
The Powell Resource Center employs students to serve as Tutors and Supplemental Instructors (SIs) to help students who are having difficulty with a particular subject. Tutors or SIs are available for a majority of courses, and their services are free to students.
