Duck into the Stress Management Fair on Tuesday, April 29 from 5-7pm in Kelly Library for yoga, beading, tea, Corn Hole, massages, Hula Hoops, duck races, working with clay, door prizes and more! Whether you love your local library, come in only when you need help with research, or just view the library as an electronic database aggregator, we hope that you will help us celebrate National Library Week during April 13-19, 2014. The honorary chair of this year’s national committee is Judy Blume, well-known for her juvenile fiction that contains a blunt treatment of the social problems that are faced by young people today. Some of her most famous works are: Are You There God, It’s Me, Margaret, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, and Blubber.

Congratulations to Kelly Library Technical Services Assistant Carrie Hayden, who just celebrated her 40th anniversary of working at Emory & Henry. She began as a library secretary in 1974 before moving to her current position. As card catalogs gave way to computers and online databases, her duties changed with the needs of the library and library users. Carrie will be retiring at the end of May, so we wish her the best in her future endeavors.
