Sounds a bit silly, but it really does work. Wired Ethernet speeds are much faster than WiFi/Wireless internet, and is available now to all those living in a residence hall. Emory & Henry offers a “port per pillow” meaning that each dorm room should have a network jack per bed. Some students have mistaken these for telephone ports, but chances are much higher that what they’re seeing are, in fact, network jacks. The Help Desk, located in the basement of Kelly Library, can loan you an Ethernet Cable to connect devices such as computers and gaming systems to the wired network, and The Merc sells them too for a few dollars.
