In collaboration with the Emory & Henry College Neff Education Department, the Summer Scholars Institute and Leadership Program seeks to offer gifted and/or academically curious students a rich and rewarding learning experience. The Emory & Henry Summer Scholars program is a one-week residential academic program for rising middle and high school students inclined toward academic adventure. For rising 6th - 9th graders, the traditional Summer Scholars Institute offers a unique mix of learning activities designed to broaden academic interests and expose students to a college-like setting. The Leadership Program, for rising 10th-12th graders, provides opportunities for older students to discover and to develop leadership skills through a variety of challenging activities.

Salary: Morning Class $250
Afternoon Class $250
Evening Class $50 per evening
In conjunction with the Emory & Henry College Neff Education Department, the Summer Scholars Institute and Leadership Program is seeking instructors to fill Morning Instructor, Afternoon Instructor, and/or Evening Instructor Positions. An instructor may choose to work either morning, afternoon, both morning and afternoon, and/or evenings. Pay is commensurate according to the schedule.
Morning classes are held from 9-11 am, Monday-Thursday.
Afternoon classes are held from 12:15-2:15 pm, Monday -Thursday
Evening classes are held from 6:30-7:30 pm on 3 evenings.
Parent Presentation is held on Friday, June 17, from 12:30-2 pm.
Classes follow an abbreviated schedule on Friday, June 17.
Instructors have the responsibility for planning and implementing the curriculum as well as sharing their experiences, techniques, and strategies used by them as a teacher of the gifted or academically curious student.
