The College holds three summer orientation sessions for freshmen, one each in April, May and June. A summer orientation for transfer students is held in July. Orientation is required for all new students enrolling at Emory & Henry.
All new students arrive at Emory & Henry College four days prior to the start of classes in August for our Week of Welcome — better known as WOW — fall orientation.

New Student Orientation
1 Day Event Summer Orientation is a one–day event where new students learn about the College, meet classmate and register for classes with your advisor. All new students are required to attend one of the summer orientation sessions. Please see the Orientation Days listing on this page for an accurate list of this year's orientation days. There is a full day program planned for parents as well. Registration for summer orientation opens May 1. Confirmation of summer orientation registrations will be sent to your E&H email account beginning the second week of May.
WOW—Week of Welcome
4 Day Event Fall Orientation is a four-day event held prior to the commencement of classes. Students are immersed in various campus activities through this welcome to Emory. Student Orientation starts off with new student check–in. Same day Parent Orientation is also available while students complete their orientation. Parents and families are asked to depart promptly at the end of the program, as students begin their new academic year at Emory & Henry.
Please note: This weekend occassionally coincides with the NASCAR Bristol Speedway race weekend. Area hotel reservations can be very difficult if not impossible to obtain on short notice.
3 Day Event January Orientation is a three-day event for new and transfer students who will begin classes in the spring semester. Families are welcome to participate in this event.
