Our academic requirements include four years of high school English, three units of math (Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry), two laboratory science courses, two years of the same foreign language, and two years of social studies or history.

Admission counselors will also evaluate academic performance in high school, including the senior year curriculum, GPA, class rank, and standardized test scores. Strong emphasis is also placed on involvement and leadership in extracurricular and community activities.

To apply for admission to Emory & Henry College, you must complete our online application. NOTE: It is advised that you use Mozilla Firefox for browsing purposes.

To apply to Emory & Henry as a transfer student, please submit the following:

  1. A completed application for admission.

  2. Official transcripts from all colleges previously attended. (Students with fewer than 26 semester hours of college credit at time of application to E&H must submit high school transcripts plus SAT or ACT scores)

  3. A completed Dean's Certificate for Transfer Students from the Dean of Students or corresponding official of the last college attended by the applicant.

The Admissions Committee may request other data such as college entrance test scores and high school transcripts.

Transfer Credits
Students transferring from the Virginia Community College System can use the Transfer Guide to compare VCCS credits with E&H courses.
