Financial Aid
Our Financial Aid Office works to make it possible for students to receive an Emory & Henry education without taking on a large
financial burden. Altogether, we distribute more than $12 million a year in aid to qualified students. Compared to other private
colleges, our annual out-of-pocket expenses are among the lowest in Virginia.
Most students receive some form of aid, usually a combination of merit and need-based aid. Approximately 98 percent of all
students receive financial aid and 84 percent receive need-based financial aid. The average award to our incoming first-year
students including only grants and scholarships is $18,000.
