The Office of International Education at Emory & Henry College will kick-off the school year on Friday, Aug. 25 with its annual celebration of the Global Street Fair hosted on the lawn adjacent to the college’s Duck Pond from 5-9 p.m.
Live music will be provided by Emory & Henry's own faculty jam band from 4:45-5:15 p.m., then the band Empty Pocket will play two sets from 5:30-6:15 p.m. and 7:30-8:15 p.m. Grab a friend and don't miss salsa dancing lessons with BJ Goliday from 6:30-7:15 p.m. between their two sets! International cuisine will be served at the event, and local vendors will have goods for sale that have an international focus. The community is invited to attend free of charge.
“We’ve found through student experiences that international programs enrich our students lives as they become engaged with other cultures, belief systems, languages and customs,” said Bence Bays, Coordinator of Civic & International Education Support Services.
The Office of Admissions will be providing a tour for prospective students and their families at 4 p.m., so be sure to register below if you would like to schedule a tour and see our beautiful campus while learning about Emory & Henry! Dinner is provided for prospective students and two guests.
