Bodenhorst Thrives in Holiday Market

Jeoff Bodenhorst ('75) has made a name for himself as a survivor in a complicated industry. When the United States seemed to be losing all its domestic textile business, Jeoff found a way for his company, Lebanon Apparel Corporation, to thrive. Founded in 1968 and located in Russell County, Virginia, LA Corp is an important player in the garment industry making uniforms, swimwear, children's clothing, home decor, and more. In 2013 they worked out a lucrative deal with Bill's Khakis -- a clothing line that wished to do business in the U.S.

In 2014, the company proved they are continuing to look for innovative ways to succeed when they launched a new company called School Stockings. Actually, the company was launched by two of Jeoff's children, Lisa Bodenhorst Hudson (an Elon University grad) and Jeoff Bodenhorst Jr. (a Washington & Lee grad and current president of LA Corp).

According to Matt Baldwin (E&H '09) with Lebanon Apparel, "All of School Stockings' products are manufactured at LA Corp. The first product from School Stockings is a high quality Christmas stocking featuring many colleges located in Virginia and North Carolina, including Emory & Henry." There are also tree skirts available with other products on the way so that fans can show their school pride during the holidays.

School Stockings products are available in the E&H Mercantile and also at
