The E&H Alumni Awards were established by the E&H Alumni Association in 1973 in order to annually recognize alumni who are making outstanding contributions to their careers and communities.
Nominate an alumnus/alumna that you feel deserves this prestigious recognition. Nominations are due by January 15 in any given year, and awards are presented on the occasion of Founders Day in March.
Emory & Henry College offers five different awards that recognize the achievement of alumni and faculty. The awards are based on service to humanity, overall distinguished achievement, participation in college activities, achievement during the first 15 years out of college, and excellence in teaching. The awards include the Looney Humanitarian Award, the Distinguished Achievement Award, the Fred Selfe Distinctive Service to Emory & Henry Award, the A.L. Mitchell Outstanding Young Alumnus Award, and the James A. Davis Faculty Award.
