April 2: Montie Weaver Day and Baseball Alumni Day
Everyone is invited to be on campus as we unveil a plaque to remember the great contributions of our alumnus, Montie Weaver. Mr. Weaver gradated in 1927 and went on to play professional baseball for the Washington Senators. His place in history will be remembered with a plaque on the Emory & Henry campus near the baseball field. Former E&H baseball players are especially invited back for this gathering which will also be Baseball Alumni Day. The E&H Baseball team will play a double-header against Virginia Wesleyan that begins at Noon. Come early to hear Dr. Charles Sydnor tell the story of Montie Weaver, and gather at 11:30 am at the baseball field for the unveiling of the plaque.
