Location
The Student Art Galleries are located in Byars Hall, the fine arts bulding. A $7 million renovation of Byars Hall, which houses the College’s Division of Visual and Performing Arts, was completed in the spring of 2008. The project included a major three-story addition to the facility which increased the square footage of the building by 19,515 for a total of 32,348. The addition, plus renovations to the historic portion of the building, made room for choir and ensemble rehearsal halls, a digital art lab, two large art studios, additional practice rooms for instrumental music, a large piano lab, a dark room, a theatre support room, and numerous seminar and classrooms, as well as faculty offices. The student galleries are located in the historic portion of the building.
