Our Division III athletic programs claim a long winning tradition in one of the nation's toughest conferences, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. We provide 13 sports, seven for women and seven for men. Our men's sports include baseball, basketball, cross country, football, soccer and tennis. Women's sports include basketball, cross country, soccer, swimming, tennis and volleyball. Our sports camps provide opportunities for student athletes to work with younger students who are thinking about college athletics. Information about the progress of our teams and other information for E&H sports fans is located at GoWasps.com.
E&H men's sports include football, which has been a highly successful tradition for E&H athletics for much of the College's history. Other men's sports, such as men's basketball (which has made five trips to the NCAA playoffs), also have a tradition of great success. At the same time, other sports such as men's soccer and cross country have begun to shine.
Women's sports draw strong crowds of vocal fans. Among the most popular are women's basketball and volleyball, which, in recent years, have enjoyed winning seasons. The E&H women's tennis program is among the top teams in one of the toughest Division III tennis conferences in the nation. E&H swimmers enjoy competition in an attractive junio Olympic swimming pool, while E&H soccer players compete on artificial turf in a lighted stadium.
Continuing a proud athletic tradition is important to the coaches of Emory & Henry College. To meet this goal, coaches believe in sharing the knowledge and skills that helped build that tradition with every generation of athletes. Each summer, some coaching staffs hold camps for athletes at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels.
