Women's Basketball
Season: 2007-08
The E&H women's basketball program has a long tradition of success built on balance, depth, teamwork, and commitment. As Head Coach Joy Scruggs extends her tenure at E&H to 26 seasons, the women's basketball program at Emory & Henry continues to thrive with players who work hard to maximize each other. Over the first three seasons in the 2000 decade, the Wasps averaged 20 wins per season and battled throughout each season for first place in the conference regular season standings. Emory & Henry's women's team has produced three ODAC Players of the Year, one State Player of the Year and 15 First Team All-conference performers. Coach Scruggs earned her 300th win in the 2001-02 season and has more career wins than any other Emory & Henry women's basketball coach. In 2003, Coach Scruggs won her second consecutive, and third total, ODAC Coach of the Year honor.
The Wasps have claimed one conference tournament championship (1988).
