The Appalachian Center Associates Program awards a renewable yearly scholarship of $1,200 per year in return for six hours of community service per week. Students may choose their service sites. Recent sites have included E&H Tutoring, Afternoon Academy, and Valley Health Care Center, a nearby long-term care facility for the elderly.
