Appalachian Center will honor individuals, local organization

The Appalachian Center for Community Service at Emory & Henry College will honor individuals and a local organization for their service to the community during the annual 2012 Hope Awards.

A reception and presentation of the Hope Awards is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, April 16, in the Board of Visitors Lounge in the Van Dyke Center on the Emory & Henry Campus.

Through its Appalachian Center for Community Service, Emory & Henry College is committed to working with individuals and groups throughout this area to build strong communities through service. “Celebrating the Life of Service” offers the opportunity to recognize and honor those organizations and persons who, through service, daily offer their gifts and resources to the good work of community building.
