Apply for 2012 Orientation Leader, Chair, or Assistant Chair Position

Like to meet new people? Interested in gaining leadership skills?  Are you positive and energetic? Apply for an Emory and Henry Orientation position! Complete guidelines for application for Orientation Leaders (OLs), Orientation Chair and Assistant Chair are now available at the Powell Resource Center, Wiley 220, or online (OL guidelines, Chair guidelines). Dates of 2012 orientations are May 25, June 23, July 21, and August 18-20. 

Orientation Leaders are volunteers who are responsible for leading and facilitating a group of first-year and/or transfer students during the EHC's orientation programs.  OLs will provide information and insight to new students regarding the variety of events, programs, and experiences of EHC college life.  OLs are ambassadors of EHC, welcoming and hosting new students and their families during orientations. 

The Orientation Chair and Assistant Chair positions work closely with the Coordinator of Orientation Programs and other EHC staff to create programming and events welcoming and integrating new students to the EHC community.  Dates of employment are May 14 – August 20, 2012. Chairs will be directly involved in planning and implementing orientation programs; including document creation, scheduling, communication, training, and office activities. 

Application deadline is February 10, 2012. Interviews will be conducted February 15 - March 2.  Applicants will be notified of the selection decision in writing by Monday, March 12.  Acceptance letter must be signed and returned by March 19.
