E&H Music Department Presents Choir and Brass Recitals

The Emory & Henry Music Department of Emory & Henry College will present two recitals in April featuring students who have been studying voice and brass instruments during the current academic year.

The Spring Concert of Choral Ensembles will be held  Sunday, April 3, at 3 p.m. The annual Brass Spectacular will be held Tuesday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m. Each event will be presented in the Emory & Henry Memorial Chapel, and each is free and open to the public.

The Spring Concert of Choral Ensembles reflects the strong tradition of choral singing at Emory & Henry.  Performing groups include the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Women’s Ensemble and Men’s Ensemble.  Emory & Henry choral alumni are encouraged to attend and join in the singing of the Lutkin “Benediction” at the conclusion of the concert. 

Choral ensembles are under the direction of professors Christianne Roll and Robert Matthews

The Annual Brass Spectacular will feature performances by the Brass Ensemble, Trumpet Ensemble, and Brass Quintet.  Each is under the direction of Dr. Matthew Frederick.
