A former registrar for Wells College has been named registrar and director of the Centralized Student Assistance Office at Emory & Henry College.
Karla Leybold-Taylor, who has more than 17 years experience in student registrar services, holds bachelor of arts degrees in religion and Spanish from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a master of Theological Studies from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University.
Leybold-Taylor began her career at Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton, Va. as the associate registrar and is currently the registrar at Wells College in Aurora, New York. She is active in her region’s professional association (AACRAO), serving as vice president for professional development and membership chair.
Leybold-Taylor also has been active as a volunteer with her local elementary school system. She looks forward to becoming involved as a parent and a professional in the Emory community.
Leybold-Taylor's family includes her husband, Cameron, and three children.
Along with filling the newly created position of director of the centralized student assistance office, Emory & Henry's Enrollment Management Division has re-engineered its staff for the 2010-2011 academic year.
The counseling staff for the Office of Admissions has been increased by one full-time counselor. Meanwhile, three vacant counseling positions have been filled by E&H alumnae.
