Feeding America Food Drive

News

Tuesday, November 06

The Appalachian Center
for Community Service and SAAC are co-sponsoring a food drive to benefit
Feeding America Southwest Virginia. The food drive will benefit Feeding
America of Southwest Virginia and will run through the end of the
month.

Here is a challenge we hope you accept: the organization
that donates the most food by the end of the month will win a pizza
party!

In order to determine who has donated what, please place
your donations in bags with your organization name on the outside.
Through SAAC,
athletic teams will be able to participate in this challenge as well. The team that collects the most food will also win a pizza party!

When you donate food, please place it in a bag and label it with the students organization or team you would like to have it count toward.

Here are the most needed items on the list:
Canned meats
Canned vegetables
Canned fruits
Canned meals
Rice
Peanut butter
Beans
100% juice
Any other non-perishable items

Food collection bins are located in Wiley, Miller, MS, Byars, the
Library, Van Dyke, Martin Brock, and the King Center. Donations will
also be accepted in Wiley 210.
