Habitat for Humanity Build Days!

News

Emory & Henry College and Washington County Habitat for Humanity is building another home in our community!

The Emory & Henry partnership, facilitated though the Appalachian Center for Community Service broke ground Monday, February 27, 2012 on a home in Glade Spring. The 3-bedroom house is located at 617 Azalea Drive and will be built with the family of James and Jennifer Smith and their two elementary-aged children. The house is in the neighborhood of the most recently completed home.

We are currently lining up volunteers and are looking to groups and individuals to help make this house happen!  Currently, we have the following days available for build Saturdays:

March 17
March 24
March 31
April 7
April 14
April 21
April 28

The following Thursdays and Fridays are also available:

March 29 & 30
April 5 & 6
April 12 & 13
April 19 & 20
April 26 & 27

Build days will begin at 9:00am and conclude at 4:30pm with a break for lunch.  Groups of 15 are preferred.  For those of you who would be available to work on a Thursday or Friday, both full days and half-days are available. For more information and to sign up for a build day, please contact Shai Cullop at scullop@ehc.edu or x6853.
