Prospective Emory & Henry students will be given tours of new construction at the College and hear about plans for a new restaurant in the community when they gather at the E&H campus Friday, July 13, for the school’s first official visit day for 2012-13.
Prospective students and families will be treated to sessions involving the College’s “hand-crafted” Admissions process, including the advantageous Early Action timeline. Overviews of financial aid, scholarships and other grant possibilities will be covered, along with the multitudes of campus activities, student life offerings and the ever-growing Study Abroad programs.
Visit Day activities begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration and breakfast in Wiley Hall, the College’s main administration building. The event continues with campus tours at 9:30 a.m. and counselor sessions at 10:30 a.m. E&H faculty and staff members as well as current students will join prospective students for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. free of charge.
Between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., prospective students may attend an open house at the E&H admissions office, where staff members will be on hand to answer questions. During this time, prospective students may also enjoy a dip in the college swimming pool or tour one of several construction sites on the campus.
Prospective students also will hear about plans for a new Macados restaurant, which will be opening this fall in the Emory community. They also will receive updates on the construction of a new residence hall and a new field house as well as improvements to the campus dining hall.
