Shepherd's Breakfast

News

Monday, November 12

Shepherd's Breakfast is a
program that is operated by Munsey Memorial Methodist Church in Johnson
City, TN. On Saturday, November 17, 2012 a group from E&H will be
going to serve the homeless.

We will leave Emory at 6:00
a.m., meeting in the Chapel parking lot to carpool. The breakfast is
from 7:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m. We will be back on campus at 11:00 a.m.

One out of 50—or about 1.5 million—American children are homeless each
year, according to a 2009 study by the National Center on Family
Homelessness.

Different
definitions of homelessness are used in different contexts. Generally,
homelessness is defined as a person who "lacks a fixed, regular, and
adequate night-time residence."
