Spring 2012 New Student Orientation to Begin Jan. 7th and 8th

Spring 2012 Orientation for new students will be held Sat., Jan 7 and Sun. Jan. 8. New Student Check-In begins at 9 a.m. on Sat., Jan. 7. A complete list of the weekends events are listed below.

Student Check-In: Welcome to Emory & Henry!  Here you will get
your keys, IDs and parking passes along with your orientation packet.

10:30 a.m. - 11:10 a.m. Breakfast/Brunch with Orientation Leaders: Van Dyke Cafeteria
11:20 a.m. - 12:20 p.m. Compass
Math Placement Test: The mathematics department will conduct math
placement tests at the beginning of each semester for incoming first
year and transfer students. The purpose of this exam is to provide
detailed information about student math abilities to advisors. The
results of the exam help Emory & Henry correctly place students in
math courses at the appropriate level; MS 231
12:30 p.m. - 1:15p.m. Meet the PRC: Wiley 214 (QLC)
1:15 p.m. - 1:45p.m. Lunch with Orientation Groups: Van Dyke Cafeteria
2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Advising appointment: Meet with your advisor in his or her office.

Your
Orientation Leader will be happy to show you around to help you find
your classes after your appointment with your advisor. This is
optional.
4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Relax, visit the Mercantile, time for yourself.
