Emory & Henry is throwing a party for alumni and friends on Friday, Sept. 14, during Bristol’s annual Rhythm & Roots Reunion.

The event will be held at the 620 State restaurant on State Street in Bristol, Tenn. (Just follow the path marked in blue and gold once you enter the main door). The event will feature music by E&H alumni and friends. Food and beverages will be available, and the event will feature a cash bar. Those in attendance wearing an E&H shirt or hat will be eligible for a free beverage.

The event is free, and the Alumni Office will be giving out a limited number of single-day passes to the festival (while supplies last - E&H faculty and staff are not eligible for free tickets).  More information about the ticket giveaway will be posted on the Facebook page of alumni coordinator Monica Hoel.

For the second year, Emory & Henry is taking on a large presence during the 12th annual Rhythm & Roots Reunion, which runs Sept. 14-16. The College will sponsor a stage for the event – The CJ & Company Stage on Sixth Street.

Emory & Henry has labeled the weekend “Rhythm and Touchdowns,” with hopes of encouraging alumni to participate in the alumni party in Bristol on Friday and attend the first home football game between Emory & Henry and Methodist on Saturday.

The game begins at 1 p.m. During the game both the 1987 national semifinalist and 1992 national quarterfinalist football teams will be honored.
