The Emory & Henry Arts Series and Department of Music present the final instrumental recital of the season Thursday evening, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. in Memorial Chapel on the campus of the College. This very popular event will feature all brass ensembles at the College.
Dr. Matthew Frederick, conductor of the ensembles participating in the evening's performance, said the annual Brass Spectacular concert serves as a benchmark for the growth of the instrumental program here at Emory & Henry.
"With the inclusion of new ensembles, such as the Emory & Henry Wind Ensemble, it is always exciting to see how students are progressing and the level of talent on display." In addition to this new wind ensemble, the Emory & Henry College Trumpet Ensemble, Brass Quintet and Brass Ensemble will be heard in the recital.
These ensembles have distinguished themselves as they have performed in music contests and festival settings, both in the United States and in concerts in Germany, Austria and China.
This event is free and open to the public. For additional information, contact 276-944-6846 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
