Grants Available to Students for Ampersand Projects

Posted on: Friday, November 6th, 2015 by Brent Treash

Emory & Henry students participating in project-based learning may apply for grants of up to $500 per year to support their efforts.

The funds support well-defined projects in a variety of disciplines in curricular and co-curricular programs.

The grants are part of Emory & Henry College's innovative Project Ampersand program, which helps students connect their interests and education to real-world projects that contribute to a broader good. Project Ampersand offers students experiences beyond just declaring a major; they gain a level of leadership and applied expertise that allows them to stand out among applicants to jobs and graduate schools.

Grant applicants may obtain forms from Angela Brink in Wiley Hall 121. Students may return the application forms to Brink or send them to hRY[.1`@8uBO2cdS?4!Jw]#[\GO@nzU~#W-D$zJ8yAe#m.

Applications for the grant are due on the 15th of each month during the regular school year, except during December and January. Award announcements will be made by the end of each month.

The grants are administered by the Office for Academic Affairs. For more information about the grant application process contact, Joseph Vess, at C$aY@pPjELr{y]#[*wGM0-2S!UX`o or 276-944-6653 or Tracy Lauder at S0ZTk.O/~GH8F6w]#[Hw8JPnBJd+'E'um or 276-944-6152.
