It’s one of the big decisions a student has to make during his or her time in college – where to live. The choice of which room to choose is one that is being made by hundreds of students on the E&H campus.
The E&H room selection process works in this way: each student is given a randomly drawn number and time slot to select a residence hall room based on class standing and credit hours.
To date, rising junior and senior room selection has already taken place, and rising sophomores will make their choice on Thursday, March 31 starting at 5 p.m. Students will need to bring their student ID card, their yellow room selection card and the printed and signed housing agreement for 2016-2017 when they arrive.
New this year is a $100 advance fee payment that must be made prior to selecting a room, although students will still go through the room selection process on their assigned day. This fee can be paid to the Centralized Student Assistance Office and will be transferred to your student’s account on the fall tuition statement.
Students also will need to register for fall classes by April 15.
Students who do not fulfill these requirements by that deadline will forfeit their space and their names will go back in the general housing pool for assignments.
Starting April 16, student housing will be made available to all students, both current and incoming, on a first come, first served basis. Current students will still have the opportunity to select an available room after the April 15 deadline by contacting the Housing Office.
