Opportunities
From its beginning in 1836, Emory & Henry College has depended upon charitable contributions. Tobias Smyth made the very first gift of $500 to begin a campaign to purchase the Crawford farmland upon which E&H is now located. This tradition of charitable support has held strong for nearly 175 years. Even today, each donation you make to the college, no matter what the size, helps provide educational opportunities for the leaders of tomorrow.
E&H Annual Fund
Your contribution to the E&H Annual Fund provides scholarships for Emory & Henry students who might otherwise be unable to pursue their educational aspirations. The College provides millions of dollars of financial aid each year from its own resources. The annual fund is an important part of this financial support. Remember, your support not only helps students receive one of the finest educations in the country, but it prepares those students to be leaders dedicated to a better world for us all.
Planned Giving
By making a planned donation, you are providing for the future of the College and adding your legacy of good works to a college community dedicated to increasing the excellence and good will of future generations. Planned gifts can take many forms, including bequests of small and large estates, a life income gift - which includes charitable gift annuities, deferred gift annuities, pooled income fund gifts, and charitable remainder trusts - gifts of life insurance, real estate, personal property and appreciated securities.
I-HEY
For more than 50 years, alumni and friends have supported athletic programs at Emory & Henry by joining IHEY (I Help Every Year). Contributions help teams purchase equipment and uniforms and pay for the expenses of travel to competitions. At Emory & Henry, we believe that athletes are students first. That is a valuable and rare notion among college athletic programs and one deserving of support from E&H fans of all stripes.
