An eighth-generation Southwest Virginian, Josh von Castle grew up in Meadowview, Virginia. He is one of three live-in professionals at Emory & Henry College where he serves as the Director of Student Activities and the Area Coordinator for Wiley-Jackson Hall, Stuart Hall, and Collins House. Josh proudly supervises student leaders serving as Resident and Head Resident Advisors as well as coordinates Residence Life training and programming for the Resident Advisor staff. He also works closely with many of the College's special interest groups, particularly the Emory Activities Board, which provides entertaining and educational campus events for the college community. Before serving in his current capacity, Josh was an Admissions Counselor for the College serving the Southwest Virginia area and focusing on recruitment strategies for the Visual and Performing Arts.
Josh graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and English from Emory & Henry College in 2007. His passion is for Student Affairs with a focus on multicultural student experiences and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender faith experiences.
