The Emory & Henry College Choirs will present their spring concert on Saturday, April 22 at 7:30pm in the McGlothlin Center for the Arts. This concert is in preparation for the E&H choirs' May recording project entitled "Making Love Known." Each choral selection explores the various facets of love: religious, familial, romantic, and communal. The musical styles range from lullabies to gospel, hymns to 80s pop with works by Rollo Dilworth, Palestrina, and Peter Gabriel. Some works include"The Road Home" by Steven Paulus, Phillip Phillips' "Home," a Chinese love song "Tian Mi Mi," an Arabic love song "Lamma badaa yatathanna," "Wondrous Love," the west African folk song, "It Takes a Village," gospel songs, and the premiere performance of Kenny Loggin's "Danny's Song." Join us in April and watch for our CD and digital downloads in fall of 2017!
Tickets are $ 10. FREE to E&H students, faculty and staff (one ticket per student, two tickets per faculty/staff member, must claim in person at the Box Office with E&H ID).
