Find out the latest news on the recent power outage effecting campus.
All Power Restored. Carriger, Sullins, and Matthews are cleared for residents to return. A big THANK YOU to our wonderful facilities staff.
Student Life Staff will be meeting in the B.O.V. at 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm to present updates to the power outage situation. Residents of Carriger, Matthews, and Sullins Halls are encouraged to attend for the most up-to-date information.

The campus has responded to the loss of power at Carriger, Matthews and Sullins Halls. A blown transformer has been successfully repaired. Staff remain in assistance with residents of the affected halls.

In order to restore power, we anticipate having to turn off power to Wiley, Miller, McGlothlin-Street, Stuart, and Collins within the next 5 – 6 hours. Employees should turn off electronics before leaving work today. Residents of the affected buildings should power down equipment when notified by text alert 10 - 15 minutes prior to the expected outage. The planned outage should last no longer than 30 minutes.

We regret this inconvenience, but appreciate everyone's patience as we work through this situation. Thanks to members of the Facilities and Residence Life staffs for their assistance.
