Drew Straub (class of 1994) understands that the worldwide web should allow him to access…well..the world. That’s why he lives in New Jersey and has clients in Chicago, California, and Boston but never really has to leave his Jersey home.

Drew is the founder and CEO of The Straub Organization, a company he started in 2005.  He serves as a savvy media and marketing consultant for small businesses and non-profits.  He specializes in finding small companies that exhibit a great idea, but could benefit from a little better use of social media.

He tells a story of potential clients he has found, for instance, while watching the Food Network on cable.  He watched a profile on a cupcake company in California. He followed up on their Facebook profile to see what they were doing with social media, found the areas that needed tweaking, and came up with few ideas that could really enhance what they were already doing.

“Some companies admit they’re not quite ready for what I’m proposing,” says Straub, “but some are glad for the input and ready to take the next step. My job is to propose new ideas, set up the infrastructure, then let them take it over.”
