Buford Doss often gets lost in his work. It was this dedication to his work that caused him to be a few minutes late to a ceremony for the Blue & Gold staff award for the month of May that honored him for his ability to go above and beyond the call of duty!

Doss has spent nearly six years as a member of the grounds crew in Facilities Department.

The Blue & Gold Staff Award was created to recognize outstanding Emory & Henry employees who go above and beyond the call of duty -- not only in their respective positions, but in the College community as well.

“Buford is one of those staff members who does so many things that make a difference to the visitors and campus community,” said Brent Treash, Staff Affairs Council chair. “He waves to every single car and person who comes near him. I can tell you with full confidence that this simple gesture lives a big impression to those visiting campus.”

If you know an Emory & Henry staff member who has performed exceptionally in his or her role and would like to nominate that employee for the Blue & Gold Staff Award, contact the Human Resources Office (Joey Sword – P63\jMq2O}Nel5]#[7*#L]..r4aWKQ#) by the last business day of the month.
