One of the top online resources for students to find colleges, universities and career schools that provide a valuable education has ranked Emory & Henry College one of the top 80 colleges and universities in the nation that is a “Best Value School.”
The rankings are based on academics, student satisfaction and affordability. Best Value Schools’ goal is to identify colleges that put students first and provide a quality education at a reasonable price.
The website applauded the Emory & Henry for having some of the top ratings by students for their college or university among all of the candidate institutions.
Emory & Henry stood out as one of the most loved schools we’ve encountered. Why is this? It might be the beautiful campus, or the caring professors, or the warm student community. But we found that the small enrollment (about 1,100), young and diverse student body (almost all under 25, and 40% from out of state), and a group of popular academic programs all contributed to the overwhelmingly positive response by current and former students.Best Value Schools
Best Value Schools also scored the College high for good academic programs and a reasonable cost to attend. In particular, the ranking observed that the “net cost to attend” average of $21,000 for first time, fulltime students as published in the Education Department’s publicly available data makes Emory & Henry a great value.
This is a unique school that may well be an ideal place to not only learn but also to journey from late teens to young adulthood. There are plenty of reasons its students love the place; we’re sure you could find a few yourself.Best Value Schools
Best Value Schools was founded by former college and university presidents and CEOs, and advised by experienced academics and outside experts. Best value designations have been awarded since 2013. The full list of eighty colleges and universities can be found at www.bestvaluecolleges.org.
Emory & Henry College is the only four-year undergraduate-based college in Virginia to be named to the list.
