The Writing Center is open to all Emory & Henry students who wish to use its resources to grow as writers. Our motto proclaims, "Let us help you help yourself." To achieve that goal, we are here to help you from process to product. The Center contains a variety of resources to meet various needs.
The Charles Sydnor Writing Lab, funded through a Title III grant from the U.S. Department of Education, houses the Writing Center. Via the Center, we offer tutorial services, a quiet computer lab with resources close at hand, and classroom space for teachers who use technology. The lab is available for general use after 3 p.m. (and between classes earlier in the day) in McGlothlin-Street Hall 233. Tutors are available to help you at posted times.
Visit our website for hours tutors are available for visits with no appointments, contact information for making appointments if you prefer an appointment with a professor, and access to other resources that will help you to grow as a writer. Students with special needs may contact Dr. Mitchell at 944-6225 for an appointment so she may help you set up a plan for success
