Biography

I like to think about life and the hidden patterns of relationships between organisms and their environments. Specifically, I am a plant population geneticist with a foot in the ecological realm. At the risk of sounding overly romantic, I seek the cryptic signature of evolution on species and on the landscape. Aside from satisfying a simple curiosity about the development of biological diversity, my field of study has practical implications for conservation efforts, land management, and for understanding the roles of ecological alterations on the future of species.
