The Senior Advancement Associate is responsible for securing major gifts from alumni, parents and friends (individuals and organizational) of the College. He manages, develops and executes fund raising strategies for the effective identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and acknowledgements of sources of gifts. Maintaining a donor-centered focus to build long-term relationships by promptly acknowledging gifts and providing information on what was accomplished with each gift. The Senior Advancement Associate reports to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, and works closely with other members of the Advancement Team, College President, volunteers and College faculty, staff and students to advance the mission, goals and programs of the College. Mr. Foster makes dreams come true by matching the charitable interests and passions of alumni, parents and friends of the College to the needs of the College. What he seeks to do, is to make sure that what an alumni, parent or friend of the College really cares about actually happens. Most importantly, Mr. Foster is a charitable investment counselor. 

Currently Mr. Foster serves on the board of Washington County, VA Habitat for Humanity as President-elect and Chairs the Development Committee. Previously, Mr. Foster held positions in the building materials industry for over 20 years. He has been Managing Director for EFFECON, Sales Manager for LR Foster Sales and for Lifetime Composites. He held progressively responsible positions at Royal Group Technologies starting as Business Awareness Manager for Royal Mouldings to Sales & Marketing Manager at Royal Outdoor Products. 

Mr. Foster is a member of the E&H Class of 1981. He is married to Jo Ann Leonard Foster, a member of the E&H Class of 1980. They have two sons, Justin Foster (E&H Class of 2007) and Jared Foster (Attended E&H 2012-2014), and a daughter, Hannah Foster (E&H Class of 2013).
