The Paul Adrian Powell III Resource Center is the hub for all services intended to help you through the sometimes difficult journey of college life. Staffed by skilled and caring professionals, the Powell Resource Center provides academic support to help you deal with the challenges of your coursework, career counseling to help you select a major and consider the options available to you after college, and counseling services to help you with personal struggles that often accompany change and challenges.
The Academic Support Services Office is located in the Paul Adrian Powell III Resource Center, along with the offices of Counseling Services and Career Services. Academic support is available to all Emory & Henry students at no charge. Services include academic counseling, upperclass mentoring, disability services, skill development workshops and peer tutoring.
Career Services at Emory & Henry has a strong record for help students find their path while they are in school and helping them extend that journey successfully after they graduate. Our Career Service professionals assist students with choosing a major, exploring career options, locating an internship, writing a resume, writing a cover letter, interviewing skills, graduate school applications, portfolio enhancement and much more.
The years you spend in college will be some of the most formative of your life, filled with exciting and scary changes. You will learn how to balance work with a social life, form new and closer relationships, develop personal and career goals, and gain the independence that comes with growing into an adult. Emory & Henry's Counseling Office is available to help all enrolled students manage the routine changes that will take place in their lives, as well as more difficult changes or challenges.
