MLK Day Celebration 2014

Celebrate with us on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Martin Luther King, Jr. 2014 Celebration: Thursday, January 16th – Monday, January 20th, 2014

The goal of MLK Day this year is to raise participants’ awareness of slavery in our world by revealing the many ways in which it exists today. The primary focus will be on how we, as a culture, unknowingly enslave others. Further knowledge of modern slavery serves to actively help eliminate slavery by carefully considering our lifestyle choices, be that in the products we purchase, the clothes we wear, the food we eat, etc.

All concerts, lectures, and presentations in honor of Dr. King are free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Chaplain Mary K. Briggs at 5q}OCr\S=[3/.X0^]#[}]`B&ZDGUAvm7=oT or (276)944-6842.
