Emory & Henry College offers choral performance opportunities for all students interested in singing.

Concert Choir

Concert Choir is open to all students on campus through a simple audition. This choir typically performs 2-3 concerts per semester including annual regional tours and international tours every four years. The Concert Choir was founded in 1959, and has kept alive the tradition of singing the Lutkin Benediction at the end of concerts for more than sixty years.

Chamber Choir

Chamber Choir is the premiere choral ensemble open to all students through audition. This choir typically performs 2-3 concerts per semester including annual regional tours and international tours every four years.                                                                                           

Invitational Choral Festival:

The annual E&H Invitational Choral Festival hosts 3-5 regional high school choirs for a day of joint rehearsals, clinics, workshops, and performances with nationally-renowned guest conductors. Participation in this festival is through invitation only and is identified as a strong contribution to the choral arts in the southwest Virginia region. The festival is typically held in late January in the  Woodrow W. McGlothlin Center for the Arts on the Emory & Henry College’s historic campus in Emory, VA.
