Study Abroad
Emory & Henry has an agreement with the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha in Spain, and the Universite de Picardie Jules Verne in France. These exchange programs provide semester-long study opportunities. The college also offers shorter study abroad trips open to all students. In recent years, faculty and students have traveled to Argentina, China, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico, Spain, and France.
If you major in Spanish Language and Culture Studies, you will be encouraged to study abroad during your junior year. You will design a study abroad program in consultation with the World Languages Department faculty.
ETLA 240 Argentinian Culture & Community
Travel to Argentina with us this summer! Visit the land of tango, gauchos, passionate soccer fans, groundbreaking social movements, and world-renowned writers and artists. This friendly South American country offers a rich cultural landscape! This course will allow students to explore the cities of Buenos Aires, and Mar del Plata, the astonishing Iguazú Falls, and much more! In addition, we will take tango lessons and visit sites such as Eva Perón Museum and an authentic rancho to eat real asado, Knowledge of Spanish is not necessary in order to take this class.
