Enrollment Timelines

Fall Semester

Students accepted to Emory & Henry College for the Fall Semester can refer to this timeline for guidance in completing the process to become an enrolled student. If you have questions email the admissions office or contact your Admission Counselor.

  • October 1: FAFSA opens for filing (using prior, prior year tax returns) 
  • February: Begin completion of  enrollment forms
  • March 1: Priority deadline for filing FAFSA 
    *First-come, first-served basis; certain need-based funds may be unavailable after this date
  • April: Tuition Payment Plan Planning
    *12-Month Plan begins May 1
  • May 1: Deposit deadline 
    *Deposits are non-refundable.
  • May-July: Summer Registration sessions. Required for all new incoming students
  • May 15: Priority deadline for completing FAFSA verification process, if selected *Aid cannot be released until this process is completed
  • June 1: Enrollment Forms Due
  • July 1: Medical Form is Due
  • July 15: Last date to enroll in Tuition Payment Plan 
    Eight-month payment plan during academic year, with first payment to be withheld on Aug. 1.
  • July 31: Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant (VTAG) deadline.
  • August 1: Finalize fall payment arrangements.

Spring Semester

  • July 31: Virginia Tuition Assistance Grant (VTAG) deadline.
  • Aug. 1: Begin to File the FAFSA Title IV Code for E&H: 003709
  • Oct. – Dec.: Priority deadline for completing FAFSA verification process, if selected aid cannot be released until this process is completed
  • Dec. 1 Begin Registration Process for Spring Week of Welcome Orientation
  • Dec. 1: Priority deadline for filing FAFSA first-come, first-served basis; certain need-based funds may be unavailable after this date
  • Dec. 1: Complete enrollment forms and send to Admissions Office.
  • Dec. 15: Deposit deadline—students can also pay deposits after Dec. 15 should space still exist
  • Jan. 1: Last date to enroll in Tuition Payment Plan four-month payment plan during spring academic semester, with first payment to be withheld on Jan. 2.
  • Jan. 4: Finalize Spring payment arrangements.
  • Jan. 5: Deadline for return of all enrollment forms.
  • Jan. 8 – 9: Spring Week of Welcome Orientation for enrolling first-year and transfer students.
