Admissions to the graduate programs at Emory & Henry College are handled by the Graduate Admissions Committee, consisting of the Registrar, the Admissions Applications Coordinator, and faculty members from respective programs. For any School of Health Sciences Graduate Programs and Doctorate of Physical Therapy, please visit the School of Health Sciences

  • American History (M.A. Ed.)
  • Community and Organizational Leadership (M.A. Col)
  • Professional Studies (M. Ed.)
  • Reading Specialist (M.A. Ed.)

The Registrar, the Admissions Applications Coordinator, and faculty members from respective programs form the GAC. The Committee meets in mid-December, mid-May, and mid-August of each year. Interested applicants should have completed application packets to the Graduate Admissions Office by December 1, May 1, or August 1 depending on the desired program entry date.

All applicants - except School of Health Sciences - are required to submit the following materials:

  1. A completed application for graduate admission.

    2018 Graduate Student Application


    2019 Graduate Student Application

    • Students applying to the Five-Year & Fast Track Professional Studies Master of Education Program 
    • Students applying for the M.A.Ed., Reading Specialist or History; M.A., Community & Organizational Leadership  
      (Paper application available from Office of Graduate Admissions)
  2. Official transcripts from all colleges previously attended.

*Students currently enrolled in Emory & Henry must formally request your transcripts be sent to the Office of Graduate Admissions.

  1. Three professional recommendations from individuals familiar with your work.

    • Five-Year & Fast Track Professional Studies Master of Education Program Recommendation Form
    • M.A.Ed., Reading Specialist or History; M.A., Community & Organizational Leadership Recommendation Form
  2. Essay: prompt can be found on application.

  3. Official GRE Scores.
